Funding offered by the Foundation is intended for outstanding research and especially for research paths leading to innovations.
When making decisions about projects to be supported, the Foundation places special emphasis on the broad applicability of project outcomes and research results in Finnish industry and business life.
In addition to incentive grants and grants given in conjunction with the Researchers Abroad programme, grants are also available for other world class projects that promote the application of research results. Projects may be freely proposed at any time; there are no specific application rounds.
